ACHIEVEMENTS & PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS
(2008-2009)
v * School Cricket team participated in Sant Sujan Singh 20-
Twenty Cricket Championship at Sant Sujan Singh School,
Saroop Nagar in April & Secured Runner up Position with
School Trophy & Certificates for all Players of the Team.
v School Under 16 Football Team participated in Coca Cola
Football Champs at central Sectriat Ground from 23-26 April
2008 & win the match against Blue Bells International School
& our team qualifies for the trials to represent Delhi State Team
In Mumbai.
v * School Skating team Participated in Inter School Skating
Championship at Poorvi Delhi Sports Complex on 27th April
2008 with great enthusiasm & we achieve 13 Medals (7 Gold,
3 Silver & 3 Bronze) & we also receive the Trophy for
Achieving Maximum Medals.
v School Skating Team Participated in 1st All India Invitational
Skating Meet 2008 Conducted & Organized by North Delhi
Skating Group (Regd.) Affiliated with Delhi Skating
Assosiation®, Roller Skating Federation of India & Govt. of
India on 28th May 2008 to 31st May 2008 at Remal Public
School, Rohini, Delhi.
v * School feel proud to take the venue for Takshila Grand Prix
Chess tournament in our School on 31st May & 1st June 2008
& total 100 Students of different Schools from all over Delhi &
NCR. From all 100 participants Anish Srivastava of our school
from class X placed in top twenty & Sanchit Kapoor of our
school from class VI secured 25th position. In this tournament
Prince Bajaj also participated who is also a Asian Champion &
10 Rated players also participated.
v * Organized sports camp in summer vacations for school
students & outsider school students. There was very excellent
response from students of K.R.Mangalam school & from many
other reputed school. The total strength of camp was 90
students’ i.e.Skating-25, Basketball/Table Tennis-3, Chess/Boxing-4, Football/Judo-13, Cricket-13 & Lawn Tennis-32 Students. We have also conducted the tournament in all Sports & students taken part in tournament with great enthusiasm and at last school awarded the certificates of participation & merit to the students. The duration of camp was 5th May to 5th June 2008 & days were Mon to Fri.
v * Organized swimming camp in summer vacations for school
students & outsider school students. There was very excellent response from students of K.R.Mangalam school & from many other reputed schools. The total strength of camp was 30 students. We have also conducted the tournament & students taken part in tournament with great enthusiasm and at last school awarded the T-Shirt and certificates of participation & merit to the students. The duration of camp was 5th May to 5th June 2008 & days were Mon to Sat.
v * Shreoshi Dutta of class VI D & Akshat Bhagat of class VI B
participated in 19th North & East India Invitational ITF
Taekwon-do Championship 2008 from 17th – 19th May 2008
at Camp Rosewood, Jim Corbett, Nainital, Uttranchal, India &
secured silver medal individually.
